Lakeland Linder International Airport remains open following Hurricane Idalia's impacts to our area, additionally Air Traffic Control services have resumed with Class D airspace in effect as of 8am (local) this morning. Please continue to check with your place of business before heading to the Airport to confirm their operating status.

Due to the impacts of Hurricane Idalia, in addition to the prior notice below, WACO Kitchen will be closed Wednesday August 30, 2023.

Due to the impacts of Hurricane Idalia some services may be affected at Lakeland Linder International Airport. Currently there are no planned closures of the Airfield. We recommend that you contact your place of business before heading to the Airport to confirm their operating status. 

Air Traffic Control services will be unavailable and Class G airspace will be in effect starting at 10pm Tuesday August 29th. Once storm impacts have been evaluated, and its determined safe for the air traffic controllers to return, services will resume (currently planned for 8am Wednesday August 30th).

The airfield will be monitored by Airport Operations personnel 24 hours a day throughout storm impacts. Pilots should monitor NOTAMs for the latest information.
