Lakeland Linder International Airport remains open following the impacts of Hurricane Ian. If you are planning to visit a business at the airport, please check with them before traveling to confirm their operating status.

Air Traffic Control services will resume today Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 4:00pm. Automated Weather Information Services (AWOS-3PT) have been intermittent, pilots can request current terminal weather information from Air Traffic Control when within radio range. 

The airfield continues to be monitored by Airport Operations personnel 24 hours a day. Pilots should monitor NOTAMs for the latest airfield status information.

WACO Kitchen is planning on reopening Saturday, October 1, 2022 for Lunch and Dinner.

September 27, 2022

Due to the impacts of Hurricane Ian some services may be affected at Lakeland Linder International Airport. Currently there are no planned closures of the Airfield. We recommend that you contact your place of business before heading to the Airport to confirm their operating status. 

Air Traffic Control services will be unavailable and Class G airspace will be in effect starting at 10pm Tuesday September 27th. Once storm impacts have been evaluated, and its determined safe for the air traffic controllers to return, services will resume.

The airfield will be monitored by Airport Operations personnel 24 hours a day throughout storm impacts. Pilots should monitor NOTAMs for the latest information.

WACO Kitchen will be closed Tuesday September 27th through Thursday September 29th due to the impacts of Hurricane Ian. A determination will be made Friday regarding reopening.
